EARNING CEU CREDITS

Unless otherwise specified, only PHCA members may earn CEU credits by attending our monthly webinars – this is a “member-only” benefit. Future PHCA members may register to attend our webinars but will not receive a continuing education credit for their participation.

Webinar: Providing Quality Dementia Care During COVID: Resources and Support from the Alzheimer’s Association

This webinar will be presented by Jeff Dauber, Education and Outreach Coordinator; Jen Ebersole, Director State Government Affairs and Kellie Butsack, Associate Director Programs, all with the Alzheimer’s Association.

Learn more about our Dementia Care Practice Recommendations that provide the cornerstone for how care should be delivered across all long-term care and community-based settings through a framework of person-centered care and about our statewide policy priorities at the Alzheimer’s Association and impact due to COVID.  Information will also be provided regarding resources that will address how to manage care during COVID 19 and gaining a better understanding of the resources for both family caregivers and professionals in long term care and home-based community settings.

Your learning objectives include:

  1. Describe the importance of person-centered care as the key way to deliver quality care for those living with dementia.
  2. Identify the Alzheimer’s Association statewide priorities and their impact on how we provide better care.
  3. Describe 2-3 resources on preparing staff and family during a crisis such as COVID 19.
