PHCA Emergency Preparedness and Infection Control Intensive

May 13 - May 17

A state regulatory change in 2022 now requires nursing home administrators (NHA) to complete 12 hours of acceptable continuing education specific to emergency preparedness and infection control. These 12 hours will be counted toward the 48 required educational training hours that must be achieved by June 30, 2024, for the current biennial licensure renewal period.

To support nursing home administrators in meeting these requirements, PHCA has designed a virtual intensive that will deliver 10 on-demand educational sessions focused on a variety of emergency preparedness and infection control topics. These 10 sessions will help NHAs complete almost all of their emergency preparedness and infection control educational requirements.

While this intensive will greatly support NHAs, there are sessions that can support providers throughout the long-term care continuum, and nurses can earn seven clinical credits.
