PHCA President Zachary Shamberg Named In City & State PA’s 2023 Health Care Power 100 List

Zachary Shamberg, the president and CEO of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA), has once again been named in City & State Pennsylvania’s Health Care Power 100. This list recognizes the most influential people in Pennsylvania’s health care leadership. Shamberg’s inclusion in the Health Care Power 100 — ranking 20th in the state, and the top long-term care leader — is a testament to his tireless work in the health care sector.

City & State’s 2023 Health Care Power 100 spotlights people who are framing, influencing and trying to change the conversation around one of Pennsylvania’s most crucial economic sectors. Those named in the list work and advocate as public officials, hospital and health care executives, nonprofit leaders, union heads, academics and others.

Shamberg has been a champion for improving health care outcomes for seniors in Pennsylvania for nearly a decade at PHCA. As the head of the nonprofit, he has continued to promote quality care for older adults, advance innovative programs, and enhance the quality of life for those in long-term care. Under his leadership, PHCA has become a leading advocate for seniors and the long-term care community.

As the leader of an association advocating on behalf of providers in more than 450 Pennsylvania long-term care facilities, Shamberg delivers strategic insights and a forward-thinking approach that have been instrumental in shaping the health care industry in the state, and his work has helped to improve the quality of care for thousands of seniors across the commonwealth.
