2014 PHCA Excellence in Quality Awards

Quality Committee Activities

The winners of the “Tell Your Quality Story” Program were recognized during our annual convention.

The following four member nursing centers were awarded “Best Leadership in Quality Improvement”:

  • Corry Manor for the reduction of re-hospitalizations
  • Edinboro Manor for the reduction in the use of antipsychotic medications
  • Lancashire Hall for the reduction in the use of antipsychotic medications
  • Sterling Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for improving customer satisfaction

The following seven member nursing centers were awarded “Best Practice in Quality Improvement”:

  • Brookside Center- Nationwide Healthcare for the reduction in the use of antipsychotics
  • Fairview Manor- HCF Management for the reduction in the use of antipsychotics
  • ManorCare Allentown- HCR ManorCare for the reduction of re-hospitalizations
  • ManorCare – Oxford Valley- HCR ManorCare for the reduction in the use of antipsychotics
  • ManorCare York North- HCR ManorCare for the reduction of re-hospitalizations
  • Sanatoga Center- Genesis Healthcare for the reduction in the use of antipsychotics
  • Somerton Center- Genesis Healthcare for the reduction in the use of antipsychotics
