Staff recruitment and retention is the lifeblood of long-term care delivery and is one of the most pressing challenges facing long-term care providers today. PHCA strives to connect long-term care operators to valuable resources to support their recruitment and retention efforts. Some of those resources include descriptions or contacts for potential partners (government, military and other) and existing industry partnerships and examples of their activities being undertaken with some success. Other resources include existing support tools and aids related to recruitment and retention such as the PA Jobs Gateway and PHCA’s job posting service, or already developed mentor training curriculum.
