The updated Long-Term Care Requirements of Participation significantly change the manner in which centers must publicize and manage resident grievances. Facilities must designate a specific Grievance Official and ensure prompt action and documented follow up to each grievance.
This webinar will discuss the content of CFR 483.10 (j) and the interpretive guidance for surveyors in evaluating compliance with this section; generally cited under federal tag 585. The presentation will also include discussion regarding best practices in grievance management.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Self- identify areas of concern that surveyors evaluate in assessing federal tag 585.
- Learn effective best practices in grievance management and promotion of the grievance program.
- Guide center teams in providing prompt resolution to grievances.
