PHCA has scheduled a Silver – Achievement in Quality workshop to provide applicants with the tools and resources they need to apply for the Silver National Quality Award.
A requirement of the program is to receive a Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award before applying at the Silver level. This session is scheduled for Oct. 30 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm at the PHCA office, 315 N. 2nd St., Harrisburg. This MEMBERS ONLY workshop will also help facilities prepare for the new Requirements of Participation. Linda Estes, RN, BS, NHA, Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Tennessee Health Care Association will lead the workshop.
At this level, applicants continue to learn and develop effective approaches that help improve performance and health care outcomes. The Silver guidelines are based on the Baldrige Health Care Criteria for Performance Excellence. In addition to the Organizational Profile, applicants provide a thorough assessment of their systematic approaches and the deployment of these approaches. The Silver program provides a clear pathway for recipients moving to the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award.
The objective of this MEMBERS ONLY workshop is to assist member facilities with the tools they need to apply for an AHCA/NCAL Silver Award.
