Unless otherwise specified, only PHCA members may earn CEU credits by attending our monthly webinars – this is a “member-only” benefit. Future PHCA members may register to attend our webinars but will not receive a continuing education credit for their participation.

Improving Readiness: Candida auris Prevention and Control in the Long-Term Care Setting

The purpose of this presentation is to arm long-term care settings with the information that they need to understand, identify, and respond to Candida auris in long-term care residents to ensure safety and optimal care.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify two reasons C. auris is a threat to long-term care facilities.
- Describe two actions that long-term care facilities can take to improve readiness for managing residents colonized or infected with C. auris.
- List three everyday practices that long-term care facilities must be consistent with to prevent and control C. auris.
