This session will focus on infection prevention and control for the non-clinical professional tasked with ultimate responsibility for the infection prevention and control program. Emphasis will be placed on infection prevention for the housekeeping, maintenance and laundry departments as well as changes in emergency preparedness since the Public Health Emergency.
- Know correct procedures for sanitation of surfaces and cleaning of cleaning equipment
- Implement procedures to prevent water-borne illness and pest control
- Revise emergency preparedness plans consistent with current regulatory guidance
