Unless otherwise specified, only PHCA members may earn CEU credits by attending our monthly webinars – this is a “member-only” benefit. Future PHCA members may register to attend our webinars but will not receive a continuing education credit for their participation.

This webinar will be presented by Sara Murphy, VP of Programs and Services, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, Alzheimer’s Association and Jen Ebersole, Director of State Government Affairs, Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. The Alzheimer’s Association will provide the latest findings from the 2022 Alzheimer’s Association Facts & Figures Report including current prevalence and impact on American families, risk factors, impact on caregivers, and national cost of care. We will review why Alzheimer’s and other dementias are a growing public health challenge and how the Association is working toward improving these challenges through its public policy and advocacy efforts.

Your learning objectives include:

  1. Understanding the most recent prevalence of Alzheimer’s & dementia and impact on American families including risk factors, caregiver impact and cost of care
  2. Explaining why Alzheimer’s and other dementias is a growing public health challenge that needs a more robust, collaborative and coordinated approach to solutions in Pennsylvania
  3. Learning about policy priorities the Alzheimer’s Association is working toward to improve care, support and quality of care for everyone impacted by Alzheimer’s in Pennsylvania.
