C-10: Infection Preventionists – What it Takes to be Successful
As of November 28, 2019, facilities must designate an Infection Preventionist (IP). But, what does that mean to be an IP? Having increased knowledge and skill in infection prevention and control is only part of the answer. What other skills and knowledge should the IP possess to effectively manage the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP)? With CMS’s increased scrutiny on infection prevention and control, the IP must be carefully selected and then continue to grow professionally.
