Contemporary Consultants CompanyThis is a part-time, independent contractor position that requires either RN, LPN, RHIT or RHIA credentials and long term care experience. Personal transportation is needed to visit nursing facilities about 10 days per month throughout Western PA in multiple counties as far East as the middle of the state; North to Erie and South to the WVa border.. Overnight stays will be necessary for convenience and driving distance which are reimbursible. Submission of timely written reports of findings, suggestions and recommendations will be required after each visit. Good writing skills are necessary along with the experience and ability to audit the processes, policies and medical record documentation. Some training will be provided. A short summary of other requirements are: 1. Audit long term care charts for deficiencies and/or adherence to state and federal regulations. 2. Be knowledgeable in pertinent nursing home laws, the survey process; Federal and State regulations. 3. Personally apply and oversee adherence to HIPAA and Privacy and Security laws 4. Maintain current nursing and/or AHIMA credentials. A clinical consulting background is helpful. 5. Furnish evidence of professional liability insurance.
